HANNOVER MESSE is not only a powerful industrial exhibition in the world, but also exhibits high technical content. It is recognized as one of the important platforms for global industrial design, manufacturing, technology application and international trade. Beginning in 2018, the annual Industrial Automation Show (IA) will be merged with the biennial International Power Transmission and Control Exhibition (MDA), which is the leading exhibition of the Hannover Messe. The Industrial Automation Show and the International Power Transmission and Control Exhibition will be jointly held under the new name “Integrated Automation and Power Transmission Exhibition”, reflecting the entire field of industrial automation, power transmission and fluid power at Hannover Messe.

Founded in August 1947, after more than half a century of continuous development and improvement, it has become the largest international industrial event of today, and is considered to be an important international event that connects the world's technology and business fields. In 2018, there were more than 5,200 exhibiting companies, and the number of visitors in the five-day exhibition exceeded 210,000, of which 70,000 were from countries outside Germany.
